What is Apple pay?
Apple pay is a secure, contactless payment method that allows you to pay using your iPhone or Apple watch without entering your credit card details.
Ivy drivers can now use Apple pay as a pay-per-use option at supported charging stations.
How to use Apple pay at an Ivy charger.
Follow these steps to start a charging session using Apple Pay:
- Scan the QR code located on the charger using your mobile device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions on the payment page.
- Select Apple pay as your payment method.
- Choose your charging port.
- Tap Start session to begin charging.
Once the session starts, you can unplug and go — no app download required.
Supported devices.
Apple pay is available for drivers using:
- iPhone devices that support Apple pay
- Apple watch paired with a supported iPhone
Make sure your device has an active data connection or access to Wi-Fi to complete the payment.
Important things to know.
- Apple pay is available only at select Ivy charging stations.
- Each session is pay-per-use.
- A $75 pre-authorization is applied at the start of the session to ensure sufficient funds.
- Any unused portion of the pre-authorization is automatically refunded after the session ends.
- If the total charging cost exceeds the pre-authorization, the remaining balance will be charged separately.
- After charging, you’ll receive an email receipt with a detailed breakdown of your session.
