Good news! You can remove the charger by yourself and don't need any special skills. Just follow the simple steps below:
- Unplug the charger from the electrical outlet.
- Look behind the charger for a small metal clip (like a bobby pin). Pull this out and then remove the long metal pin that holds the charger in place.
- Slide out the charger from its bracket.
- If you are relocating the charger, then unscrew the mounting hardware and holster and keep these accessories with you for reinstallation later.
Hardwired to panel.
Contact a licensed electrician to safely uninstall the charger. They will complete the following steps:
- Disconnect the charger from your electrical panel.
- Safely remove the mounting hardware.
- Ensure all wiring is properly secured and compliant with electrical code.
For safety and warranty protection, the charger should not be removed by someone who is not qualified.
