Vehicle compatibility.
Ivy charging stations support most battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), provided the vehicle uses a compatible charging connector.
Vehicles equipped for DC fast charging can charge at Ivy stations when the appropriate connector is available at that location.
Supported connector types.
Ivy stations support multiple DC fast-charging connector types, depending on the location:
-
CCS (Combined charging system)
The most common DC fast-charging connector in North America, supported by many EV manufacturers. -
CHAdeMO
Available at select Ivy locations. Availability may be limited as this standard is phased out by some manufacturers. -
NACS (North american charging standard)
Available at select Ivy stations, including some locations on the ONroute network. These stations offer native NACS ports, allowing compatible vehicles to charge without an adapter.
Connector availability varies by station. Always check the Ivy app or charging map before arriving to confirm which connectors are available.
Charging a tesla at Ivy stations.
Tesla vehicles can charge at Ivy stations in multiple ways, depending on the station’s connector configuration:
-
At stations with NACS ports:
Tesla vehicles can plug in directly without an adapter. -
At stations with CCS connectors:
Tesla drivers will need a compatible CCS adapter.
Before starting a session, confirm the connector type at the station and ensure your vehicle is enabled for third-party DC fast charging if required.
What to check before you start charging.
To ensure a smooth charging experience, we recommend checking the following before heading to an Ivy station:
- Confirm your vehicle’s supported connector type
- Check station details in the Ivy app or charging map
- Bring a compatible adapter if your vehicle requires one
- Verify your vehicle supports DC fast charging
If you’re unsure whether a specific station will work for your vehicle, Ivy Support can help guide you.
